Overview

In the eastern foothills of the Santa Catalina mountain range, Sabino Canyon is a world of natural beauty. Stunning vistas, the freshness of the morning air, the tranquility of running creek water, and the rugged backdrop of Thimble Peak make this place so unique.

Directions

Traveling East on I-10 from Phoenix/Marana...

Take the Ina Road Exit from I-10 and turn east onto Ina Road. Stay on this road a total of 15.5 miles until you reach a dead-end at Sabino Canyon Road. (You will pass major intersections at Thornydale, Cholla, and Oracle Roads. The road will become Skyline Road, then Skyline will split off to the left but you will continue on the main road, now called Sunrise. While driving on Sunrise you will pass major intersections at Swan, Craycroft, and Kolb.) When you reach the dead-end at Sabino Canyon Road, turn left. The park entrance will be on your right.

 

From the University of Arizona at Speedway and Campbell...

Take Speedway east 5 miles to Wilmot. Turn north onto Wilmot and continue 1.7 miles. The road will become Tanque Verde Road. Turn left onto Sabino Canyon Road. Take Sabino Canyon Road north 4.5 miles. The park entrance will be on your right, just after the intersection with Sunrise.

 

Traveling West on I-10 from New Mexico/Sierra Vista...

Exit I-10 at the Kolb Road exit and head north. Drive 10 miles to the intersection with Tanque Verde Road. Turn right on Tanque Verde and travel less than a mile to the intersection with Sabino Canyon Road. Turn left onto Sabino Canyon Road and travel north 4.5 miles. The park entrance will be on your right, just after the intersection with Sunrise.
